Mamuju Tengah Launches Salupangkang Village as Desa Cantik 2025

Tobadak – The Mamuju Tengah Regency Government, in collaboration with BPS Statistics Mamuju Tengah Regency, officially declared Salupangkang Village in Topoyo Subdistrict as the 2025 Desa Cinta Statistik (Desa Cantik). The event was held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Hall A of the Mamuju Tengah Regent's Office.


The event was attended by the Vice Regent of Mamuju Tengah, Dr. H. Askary Anwar, S.Sos., M.Si., the Deputy Police Chief (WaKapolres), Head of BPS Mamuju Tengah, Secretary of the Community and Village Empowerment Office (Dinas PMD), Head of the Office of Communication, Informatics, Statistics, and Encryption, the Topoyo Subdistrict Head, and the Secretary of Salupangkang Village. This declaration aims to strengthen the capacity of village officials in managing statistical data that is accurate and adheres to national standards.


The event proceeded in an orderly manner, starting with an opening session, the singing of the national anthem “Indonesia Raya,” a joint prayer, and speeches by the Head of BPS and the Vice Regent. It continued with the signing of the Desa Cantik declaration charter, group photo session, a presentation by Miftahuddin, S.Tr.Stat., as the Desa Cantik team leader, and a discussion session.


"Through the Desa Cantik program, we aim to improve the competence of village officials in managing accurate and up-to-date statistical data," said the Vice Regent of Mamuju Tengah, Dr. H. Askary Anwar, S.Sos., M.Si.


The Head of BPS Mamuju Tengah, Sundari Budiani, S.ST., M.Si., added, “Desa Cantik is more than just a program—it is a concrete step toward building data-based villages with accuracy and standardization. BPS is ready to assist villages and local government offices in making statistics the foundation of impactful policies.”


At the end of the event, BPS also introduced the BERANI program (Sharing Knowledge and Information), a platform for statistical learning that other villages in Mamuju Tengah can also participate in.
