EPSS Coordination: Optimizing Sectoral Statistics and IPS Achievement in Mamuju Tengah

May 13, 2024 | Other Activities

Mamuju Tengah, May 13, 2024 - A significant meeting was held at the Regional Development Planning, Research, and Development Agency (Bappeda Litbang) of Mamuju Tengah Regency to discuss coordination regarding the completion of supporting evidence for the Sectoral Statistics Administration Evaluation (EPSS). This event also served as a forum to discuss various obstacles and challenges faced in filling out Simbatik.

Kasmawati, a representative from the Department of Communication, Informatics, Statistics, and Cryptography (Diskominfosandi) as the data custodian, expressed her hope that the EPSS activities would run smoothly and meet the Statistical Development Index (IPS) targets. "We hope this year's results will be better than last year's," she said optimistically.

The meeting was attended by several representatives from various agencies, including the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Mamuju Tengah, representatives from Bappedalitbang, representatives from Diskominfosandi, and the Fisheries Department, which is the target of the EPSS evaluation.

The Fisheries and Marine Department showed great enthusiasm in presenting their progress and various questions to the data supervisors from BPS. They highlighted several challenges faced in data collection and posed a number of technical questions to receive further guidance from BPS. The response from BPS is expected to help expedite the process of data entry and completion so that the established targets can be achieved on time.

With strong collaboration and coordination, all parties hope that this year's EPSS can make a significant contribution to improving the quality of statistical data in Indonesia and that the IPS of Mamuju Tengah Regency can be achieved according to the targets.
