Based on the results of the Consumer Price Survey 82 cities in Indonesia in October 2018, showed that 66 cities and 16 cities were deflated. The highest inflation occurred in Palu at 2.27 percent and the lowest in Cilegon at 0.01 percent while the highest deflation occurred in Bengkulu 0.74 percent and the lowest in Tangerang 0.01 percent, Mamuju placed 64th out of 66 cities experiencing inflation .

Inflation in Mamuju in October 2018 due to an increase in prices issued by an increase in the price index in three expenditure groups: housing, air, electricity, gas, and fuel group 0.12 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.16 percent; clothing 0.11 percent; while the group that discussed deflation was the foodstuff group of 0.12 percent; education, recreation group and 0.06 percent exercise; the transportation, communication and financial services group 0.12 percent. While health groups are looking for stability.

The week of September 2018 in Mamuju is 1.40 percent while the year-to-year index (October 2018) ahead of October 2017 is an inflation of 2.46 percent.
